70 teachers passed training for innovative pedagogues

Three new schools joined the Project of Plovdiv Municipality and the Foundation World Education Forum Bulgaria. The 5-year project, launched last fall, represents a series of methods for organizing a new way of education and the education environment. In the first stage eight schools were included – Primary School “Rayna Knyaginya”, Primary School “Yane Sandanski”, Primary School “Aleko Konstantinov”,  Secondary School “Patriarh Evtimiy”, Primary School “Kocho Chesemensky”, Primary School “Yordan Yovkov”, Primary School “Elin Pelin”, Primary School “P. R. Slaveykov”. The directors and over 100 teachers have been trained and the first results are already a fact. New teachers from these schools, as well as from the new three – Primary School “Vassil Petleshkov”, Primary School “Zahari Stoyanov” and Primary School “Dimitar Talev” took part in the present training.

“We do not give ready-made recipes and solutions, but a theoretical basis and everyone, depending on the specifics of the school and the age specifics of the children, decides how to approach. The teacher is the leader in the classroom, but when he shares the experience with his colleagues, the work becomes more effective, “said the Director of the World Education Forum Bulgaria and Director of the Primary School “Rayna Knyaginya” Maria Gaydarova, who was also the main trainer.

The Deputy Mayor Stefan Stoyanov handed the “Innovative School” signs to the school directors. “Education must be constantly undergoing reform. Let’s give chance to more children adapt to the modern world”, he shared on the event.

The project is in line with the Law on Preschool and School Education for Innovative Schools and gives concrete steps on how to change the culture of teaching on individual subjects.
